About Robin's Nest
-
What makes Robin's Nest different from a traditional rescue?
Good question! We're not just rescuing animals — we're creating healing relationships between rescued animals and people who need connection, hope, and belonging. -
What is meant by “sanctuary?”
Many rescues focus on adoption and placement. In our sanctuary model, the animals stay with us for life — and in that safety and stability, they become part of helping humans heal too. -
What is the future for Robin's Nest?
We believe Robin's Nest can become a model for how animal welfare, humane education, and community wellness can work together in a deeply human way.
Our programs & healing experiences
-
Are your programs therapy?
We're not therapy in the traditional sense. We're creating meaningful, science-backed experiences rooted in the extraordinary animal-human bond. In that sense, our programs are a non-clinical version based on therapeutic experiences. -
How do rescued animals help people heal?
Robin's Nest Rescue operates from the belief that compassionate interaction with animals can foster connection, wellness, emotional resilience, and community belonging. Once rescued animals are ready, participants engage with them through guided, hands-on experiences designed to encourage empathy, calm presence, responsibility, confidence, and meaningful human-animal connection. -
How do you know your animal-assisted experiences work?
Strong research increasingly supports what we witness every day at Robin's Nest Rescue: meaningful connection with animals can reduce stress, foster emotional well-being, strengthen empathy, and create opportunities for healing and human connection. -
Why does the program you offer matter?
People are craving authentic connection — especially after years of isolation, stress, and disconnection. Animals create a bridge. They lower defenses and bring people back to themselves and to each other. -
What is a Side by Side Healing Experience?
A healing experience at Robin's Nest Rescue is a meaningful opportunity to connect with rescued animals in a peaceful, supportive sanctuary setting. Through guided interaction, guests learn the animals' stories, participate in their care, and experience the calming and restorative power of the animal–human bond. -
What can I expect through a “healing experience?”
Every experience is different. For some, healing looks like joy, laughter, and connection. For others, it may simply mean slowing down, feeling safe, being present in nature, or rediscovering trust and hope. At Robin's Nest, we believe healing often begins with compassion — for animals, for others, and for ourselves.
Visiting the sanctuary
-
Are children allowed to visit the animals?
Absolutely! With notice, we can arrange a kid-friendly experience for the entire family. They may participate in many of our animal-assisted activities. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or other responsible adult. -
Is the sanctuary accessible for individuals with mobility challenges?
Yes. We can accommodate virtually all situations through design of the session and with the assistance of golf carts, which can provide access to the entire ranch.
